Boyle wants 'limit down' rules for Wall Street Slide

Burlington, Wisc. ~~~ Thomas Boyle, the Write-In moderate Democrat for President, called for the use of the ' limit down ' rule on the stock exchanges to stop the down ward price spiral on Wall Street.

Mr. Boyle explained, "With the limit rule, the price of a stock can only go down so far in one day, after that trading is halted until the next trading session. They do it on commodity markets for farm prices like corn and wheat, why not do it on Wall Street.?"

"The rule could be tied to the price of an individual stock or keyed to an Index, " Boyle said. "We have to stop the slaughter of stock values. A simple rule change might at least slow it down until cooler heads prevail."
